Rescue footage reveals Fort Worth officers saving baby

Several Fort Worth police officers and compassionate bystanders are being hailed as heroes for rescuing a baby who was ejected from a vehicle and unconscious following a serious accident. The incident took place on Interstate 30 on Thursday morning between Eastchase Parkway and Cooks Lane. A woman and her infant were thrown from the vehicle during a rollover crash. Body camera footage captured the intense efforts of Fort Worth police officers and witnesses frantically searching for the baby, ultimately discovering her trapped beneath the overturned car. With shouts of urgency and teamwork, Sgt. R. Nichols and Officer E. Bounds, aided by bystanders, managed to lift the vehicle and retrieve the child, who was unresponsive. The officers can be seen performing CPR on the infant in the video, and she later regained consciousness and started crying once paramedics arrived. Both the baby and her mother are now in stable condition and expected to fully recover, according to Fort Worth police.
