A single individual sustained injuries following a multi-vehicle collision causing the closure of Interstate 83 in York County for several hours early Saturday. The incident occurred at around 12:30 a.m. near Dunkard Valley Road on the northbound lanes of I-83 in Shrewsbury Township. Emergency responders, including the Glen Rock Hose and Ladder Company, arrived at the scene to address a situation where a person was trapped following a crash involving a truck and a trailer. Rescue teams had to dismantle the truck's roof to free the trapped individual, who was then taken to a nearby trauma center for treatment. The extrication process took approximately 44 minutes.
