Reopening of Clark Memorial Bridge after deadly moped crash

A tragic incident on Thursday evening resulted in the closure of all lanes on the Clark Memorial Bridge after a fatal crash involving a moped. It was confirmed by the Louisville Metro Police Department that the crash took place around 6:15 p.m., involving only the moped. The driver, who was headed north, lost control after hitting a curb and subsequently collided with a truss, leading to his unfortunate death on the scene. A helmet was not worn by the driver. Following a nearly two-hour closure, the bridge was reopened. The Louisville Metro Police Department's Traffic Unit is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
