Remembering teen driver in Menomonee Falls fatal accident
Tragically, a student from Hamilton High School lost his life in a car accident in Menomonee Falls on Tuesday, April 1. The student, identified as Owen Briggs, was a junior at the school. A memorial service was held at the crash site the following day. The Menomonee Falls Police Department reported that the incident took place on Tuesday afternoon near Lannon and Lisbon, involving a single-vehicle crash where the car struck a tree. The vehicle, a Toyota Corolla, was traveling northbound on Lannon Road at the time of the crash and was found engulfed in flames when emergency crews arrived. Despite their efforts, Briggs was pronounced dead at the scene. The police mentioned that while speed may have played a role in the accident, the exact cause is still being investigated.
