Remembering 12-year-old girl killed in Aston, PA scooter accident
A large gathering was held at Ridley Park Middle School in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday in memory of a tragic incident involving a young girl who lost her life in a scooter accident. Abigail Gillon, a beloved 6th grader, passed away after a scooter accident in Aston. Abigail and her friend Isabella were involved in the incident when their electric scooter hit a curb and they were struck by a car. The memorial took place near Lehr Boulevard, where a tribute of flowers and balloons now stands. Abigail, also known as Abby, unfortunately succumbed to her injuries, while Isabella is currently hospitalized. Described by a neighbor as passionate about cheerleading, swimming, and caring for her loved ones, Abigail was the type of person who brought joy to those around her. Despite facing a difficult situation, Abigail chose to donate her organs through the Gift of Life, giving others a chance at life. At a ceremony, attendees honored Abigail's memory by releasing heart balloons, symbolizing the enduring love and bond they share with her. The community will always remember Abigail as a cherished member whose spirit lives on in their hearts.
