Recovery of ex-Texas player Shipley from accident
Jordan Shipley, a former standout wide receiver for the University of Texas football team, was injured in an accident on his ranch near Burnet. Shipley sustained serious burns when a machine he was operating caught fire, but he was able to escape and seek medical help. He was initially taken to a local hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Austin, where he is currently in critical but stable condition. Shipley's family has asked for prayers for his recovery. Shipley, a 40-year-old Texas alum, holds the school record for career receptions and had an impressive college football career before playing in the NFL. He was inducted into the Texas Hall of Honor in 2020 and has since transitioned to a career in real estate.
