Recovery of 15 vehicles following fatal crash

A serious accident between a commercial truck and a car caused a significant traffic jam on Thursday on I-15 near Mesquite, resulting in the closure of southbound lanes. Some drivers tried to avoid the congestion by going off-road, which led to over a dozen vehicles getting stuck. The Southern Nevada off-road Recovery (SNORR) team, a group of around 20 volunteers based in Las Vegas, received numerous calls for assistance. One harrowing situation involved a woman with a one-year-old child running out of water after being stranded for hours. SNORR made it a priority to help them first. The team worked diligently for about nine hours to assist stuck vehicles and provide relief to distressed drivers. SNORR has received over 280 calls for stuck vehicles this year alone. It is best to exercise caution and patience in such situations, as going off-road can be risky. SNORR offers aid within a four-hour radius and sometimes even extends their assistance across state borders.
