Raleigh crash on I-440 involving flipped car near Six Forks Road, according to police
Two lanes on Interstate 440 in Raleigh are currently closed due to a car overturning in a collision near Six Forks Road and Wake Forest Road. The incident, which was initially reported to involve two cars but actually only involved one, happened at 3 p.m. along eastbound I-440 at mile marker 8. Raleigh Police Department reported that after the crash, a damaged car was seen in a ditch beside the highway. The right lanes and shoulder near exit 8 have been closed for investigation by Raleigh police, with the North Carolina Department of Transportation stating that the road is expected to be reopened by 5:27 p.m. One individual was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
