Pursuit suspect slams into unsuspecting driver in Reseda
A violent crash that shut down a busy San Fernando Valley intersection early Friday morning was sparked by a driver fleeing from police. The brief pursuit involved a Dodge Durango and was reported shortly before 3:30 a.m. It ended minutes later when the suspect slammed into another vehicle at Sherman Way and Wilbur Avenue in Reseda. Video from the scene showed the Durango with severe front-end damage. The unidentified driver was taken into custody following the crash. The extent of any injuries to the occupant or occupants of the other vehicle was not immediately known. The collision also caused at least one of the cars to crash into multiple parked vehicles, one of which ended up on the hood of another. The pursuit began after California Highway Patrol officers saw the Durango driver speeding and weaving, a spokesperson said.
