His accident occurred when his vehicle collided with stray cattle in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. Despite immediate treatment upon arrival at the hospital, he remained in critical condition until his passing. The news of his death was confirmed by fellow Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi.
