Providence motorcyclist killed in I-95 Connecticut crash
MADISON, Conn. (WPRI) — A Providence man has died following a serious crash Tuesday on I-95 South in Madison, Connecticut State Police reports. According to police, Joseph R. Baez was speeding on a BMW motorcycle around 1:45 p.m. before he hit a Subaru SUV from behind near Exit 60. Baez, 28, was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Police said the other driver involved was not injured. Traffic was diverted while the highway was shut down, but it has since reopened.
