
'Profound sadness': Two teenagers and a man in his 50s killed in Clarion County crash
Two teenagers and a man who were killed in a crash in Clarion County on Saturday afternoon have been identified.Landon Akins, Cambrie Priester, both 16, and Christopher McNutt, 55, died in Saturday afternoon's crash.Pennsylvania State Police said a northbound vehicle crossed the center double yellow lines on Route 68 in Toby Township and struck a vehicle headed south. The driver of the northbound vehicle and a passenger, who police said were both juveniles, died at the scene.The driver of the southbound vehicle also died, and a juvenile passenger in that vehicle was taken to the hospital with what were believed to be serious injuries, police said.The Union School District released a statement to the community, saying, “It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we share in the news of a sudden loss of life affecting several families within our school district and the entire local community. In a tragic accident occurring on March 22nd, several individuals, including a student and a guardian of Union School District students, lost their lives."The school district said counselors, staff and local clergy members would be available to help those in need.Funeral arrangements were announced Monday for Priester, a sophomore at Union High School, and Akins, who attended Armstrong Junior/Senior High School.The crash is under investigation by state troopers in Clarion.
