Pritzker took a photo with accused 'peacekeeper' in deadly Chicago incident: report

A recent report from CWB Chicago has stirred up controversy by revealing that a photo of Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and a man now implicated in a fatal Chicago crash tied to a burglary on the Magnificent Mile was removed from a state website by the administration. The man, identified as 35-year-old Kellen McMiller, posed for a picture with the governor at a South Side event on Sept. 5, where they were recognizing "peacekeepers" engaged in community violence prevention efforts. McMiller, who later faced charges related to the deadly crash on Sept. 11, had outstanding warrants from multiple states and was alleged to have participated in the burglary on Michigan Avenue that resulted in a tragic loss of life. Critics have raised concerns about the vetting process for participants at the event, with some questioning the effectiveness of the peacekeeper program endorsed by the governor. Seven men, including McMiller, are now facing serious charges in connection with the incident. In response to the report, FOX 32 has reached out to Governor Pritzker's office for a comment and is also seeking a statement from the Peacekeepers. As the family of the victim, Mark Arceta, mourns his passing, they have set up a GoFundMe page to seek accountability for the tragedy and ensure justice for his memory.
