Prince Andrew Accuser Says She Has 4 Days to Live After Car Crash
Virginia Giuffre—who claimed she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew by Jeffrey Epstein—says she has four days to live after her car was hit by a bus.Giuffre said she was "ready to go" but wanted to see her children one last time before her body gave up the fight. She posted a photograph of herself with a visible head injury on Instagram and wrote: "This year has been the worst start to a new year, but I won't bore anyone with the details but I think it important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km as we were slowing for a turn that no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can."I've gone into kidney renal failure, they've given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology," she continued."I'm ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time, but you know what they say about wishes."S**T in one hand and wish in the other & I guarantee it's still going to be s**t at the end of the day. Thank you all for being the wonderful people of the world and for being a great part of my life. Godbless you all xx Virginia."Her father, Sky W. Roberts, commented on her post: "Virginia my daughter, I love you and praying for you to get the correct treatment to live a long and healthy life. If there is anything in this world I can do to help you, please let me know. My spirit with you now and holding your hand."Giuffre has been living in Perth, Australia, with her husband, having left the United States after parting ways with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. In 2021, she filed a lawsuit against Prince Andrew at Federal Court in New York, accusing him of rape and saying Epstein and Maxwell trafficked her to London to have sex with the royal. He denies the allegations.A court filing by her legal team that August read: "During each of the aforementioned incidents, [Giuffre] was compelled by express or implied threats by Epstein, Maxwell, and/or Prince Andrew to engage in sexual acts with Prince Andrew, and feared death or physical injury to herself or another and other repercussions for disobeying Epstein, Maxwell, and Prince Andrew due to their powerful connections, wealth, and authority."Giuffre was interviewed on BBC's Panorama in 2019 and said Epstein and Maxwell groomed her to have sex with rich and powerful men. She said she was trafficked to London in 2001 to meet Prince Andrew at Tramp nightclub in London."He is the most hideous dancer I've ever seen in my life," she told Panorama. "I mean it was horrible and this guy was sweating all over me, like his sweat was, like it was raining basically everywhere, I was just like grossed out from it but I knew I had to keep him happy because that's what Jeffrey and Ghislaine would have expected from me."Giuffre said they eventually left the club and went to Maxwell's London townhouse: "In the car Ghislaine tells me that I have to do for Andrew what I do for Jeffrey and that just made me sick."She said she was forced to have sex with Andrew in London, New York and on Epstein's private island, Little St James.Andrew has always denied the allegations and appeared to be preparing to fight the case when he unexpectedly settled out of court in early 2022, as Queen Elizabeth II was preparing to mark her Platinum Jubilee. At the time, the two sides issued a joint statement: "Prince Andrew intends to make a substantial donation to Ms. Giuffre's charity in support of victims' rights."Prince Andrew has never intended to malign Ms Giuffre's character, and he accepts that she has suffered both as an established victim of abuse and as a result of unfair public attacks."It is known that Jeffrey Epstein trafficked countless young girls over many years. Prince Andrew regrets his association with Epstein, and commends the bravery of Ms Giuffre and other survivors in standing up for themselves and others."He pledges to demonstrate his regret for his association with Epstein by supporting the fight against the evils of sex trafficking, and by supporting its victims."In November 2019, Andrew did his own BBC interview in which he said: "No and without putting too fine a point on it, if you're a man, it is a positive act to have sex with somebody."You have to have to take some sort of positive action, and so therefore, if you try to forget, it's very difficult to try and forget a positive action, and I do not remember anything."I can't, I've wracked my brain and thinking oh... when the first allegations, when the allegations came out originally I went well that's a bit strange, I don't remember this and then I've been through it and through it and through it over and over and over again and no, nothing. It just never happened."Jack Royston is chief royal correspondent for Newsweek, based in London.
