Preston County student died from ‘gunshot accident’: Obituary
KINGWOOD, W.Va. (WBOY) — An obituary for the Preston High School student who passed away over the weekend states that the cause of death was a "gunshot accident." The obituary posted on the Kingwood Funeral Home website said that 17-year-old Hunter Hoover, of Bruceton Mills, died on March 29 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown following the accident. He would have graduated from Preston High School in May. The Preston County Schools Facebook page announced Hoover's death Sunday evening, stating that a student had "tragically died this weekend." The post also said that counselors and support staff would be available at the high school for students and staff to talk with. No further information about the accident has been released at this time.
