Pregnant driver, 25, killed in San Jose collision: CHP

A tragic incident occurred in San Jose as a 25-year-old pregnant woman and her unborn child lost their lives in a car accident last Thursday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash, which involved two vehicles on southbound Interstate 280 north of Bird Avenue, also had two young children, approximately 2 and 5 years old, in the car. Thankfully, the children were unharmed and were taken to Valley Medical Center as a precaution. The pregnant woman, driving a green Honda Civic, lost control of her vehicle, crossed all lanes of traffic, and collided with a Ford F-150 pickup, resulting in her being ejected onto the freeway. Despite efforts to assist her, she was unresponsive and later succumbed to her injuries, along with her unborn child. CHP Officer Ross Lee emphasized the significance of every life lost in such incidents and extended a plea for any witnesses or individuals with relevant information to reach out to the CHP San Jose Area Office for assistance as the investigation into the crash continues.
