Prayer vigil held for skimboarder injured in OBX incident, showing signs of improvement

A North Carolina family is devastated after their son, 19-year-old Colin Tibbs, suffered severe injuries in a skimboarding accident on the Outer Banks. Tibbs, a collegiate athlete known for his strong faith, is currently undergoing treatment at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. His stepfather described him as having exceptional athletic ability and emphasized the serious nature of the incident that occurred on June 24. Despite being paralyzed from the chest down due to a broken neck, doctors are optimistic about Tibbs' recovery prospects. The family has been holding prayer vigils, with the most recent one taking place outside the hospital, where they have already seen positive signs in his progress. To aid in his rehabilitation, a GoFundMe page has been set up, and there is a fundraiser scheduled at Morris Farms on Friday, August 1st. Click here for more information on how to offer support.
