Power outage in Cypress North Houston caused by fatal accident
Harris County deputies reported that residents in a Cypress North Houston community were left without power when a woman crashed through a fence at the intersection of Huffmeister and Telge. The driver struck an electrical box, causing power outages to a few nearby homes. The vehicle also hit a gas barbecue grill, resulting in a small fire that was quickly put out. Thankfully, the residents were at home but remained unharmed. CenterPoint worked on restoring power, and unfortunately, the female driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. There were no other casualties reported, and the investigation led to the closure of eastbound lanes in the vicinity.
