Power lines knocked down in deadly accident in Doña Ana County
In the early hours of Friday morning, a tragic accident in Doña Ana County resulted in the loss of one life and injuries to another person, while also causing power lines to fall. The incident occurred on Corona Road near Organ, New Mexico, prompting a rapid response from the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Office and Fire Rescue teams. Emergency personnel found two individuals involved in the crash, with one airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Despite life-saving efforts, the other person sadly did not survive. The accident also led to downed power lines in the vicinity, prompting authorities to caution the public to avoid the area as emergency and utility workers work to address the situation. El Paso Electric has been alerted and is on the way to assess and rectify the damage. The authorities are currently investigating the crash.
