
Possible tire issue linked to deadly motorcycle accident on US 69 Highway in Miami County
A fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Wednesday morning on U.S. 69 Highway in Miami County, Kansas, likely due to a tire malfunction. The incident took place around 8:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes near 223rd Street, as reported by the Miami County Sheriff's Office. Upon the crash, bystanders attempted to aid the victim prior to the arrival of law enforcement and medical personnel. Initial findings suggest that the crash was caused by a tire malfunction on a 2016 Indian Chief Dark Horse motorcycle. The 46-year-old driver was ejected from the motorcycle and tragically passed away shortly after at a hospital.
