Port St. Lucie intersection reopens after multi-vehicle crash injures 3

Traffic is moving again in Port St. Lucie after a multi-vehicle crash shut down a busy intersection late Monday morning.According to the Port St. Lucie Police Department, the crash happened around 11 a.m. at the intersection of Southwest California Boulevard and Southwest Del Rio Boulevard.WATCH: Authorities clear scene of multi-car crashPolice said three vehicles were involved. A passenger in one of the cars was airlifted to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center as a trauma alert. Authorities later confirmed the person’s injuries were no longer considered life-threatening.Two other people were transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Their conditions have not been released.Investigators said a vehicle traveling on Del Rio Boulevard ran a red light, triggering the crash.The intersection was temporarily shut down for the investigation but has since reopened.Police said the crash remains under investigation.
