Police seek driver following hit-and-run that results in 2 deaths in Long Beach
Authorities in Long Beach are on the lookout for a driver involved in a serious hit-and-run incident that resulted in two fatalities and three injuries on Sunday night. The collision, involving three vehicles, occurred close to Atlantic Avenue and East 6th Street around 10:15 p.m., as reported by the Long Beach Police Department. It is believed that the driver responsible was traveling at a high speed on East 6th Street and collided with two vehicles heading south on Atlantic Avenue. Upon arrival, officers administered aid to five adults until medical responders arrived. Unfortunately, a man and a woman lost their lives at the scene, while the other three individuals were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. The driver who caused the accident fled before the authorities arrived, and there is currently no description of the suspect available. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
