Police searching for driver in deadly hit-and-run on E. Colfax Ave, I-225 on-ramp Sunday night
Authorities are seeking the driver involved in a hit-and-run incident on E. Colfax Avenue on Sunday night that resulted in the death of a pedestrian. The Aurora Police Department was informed around 9:52 p.m. that a driver had struck a woman on the westbound side of Colfax near the Interstate 225 on-ramp and failed to stop at the scene. Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead upon police arrival. Police are actively searching for the suspect and seeking information on their identity. Anyone with relevant knowledge is urged to reach out to Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867). Tipsters have the option to stay anonymous and could receive a reward of up to $2,000, according to APD.
