Police search for four individuals who escaped from Mercedes following deadly M40 collision
Police are currently in search of four individuals who fled the scene after a Mercedes vehicle was part of a motorway accident that ultimately led to a man's death. The incident occurred on the northbound side of the M40 when the Mercedes collided with a black Volkswagen Golf in the early hours of Saturday. The driver of the Volkswagen, a 27-year-old man from High Wycombe, sadly succumbed to his injuries, while his passenger, a man in his 20s, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A 26-year-old man from Beaconsfield has been taken into custody on suspicion of dangerous driving and carrying a bladed article in public. Nonetheless, authorities are still working to locate the two men and two women who exited the Mercedes and fled on foot after the crash. Police are asking for eyewitnesses and dashcam footage as part of their investigation into the collision near junction two. Detective Sergeant Edward Crofts has urged anyone with information to come forward and assist in identifying and locating these individuals who fled the scene.
