Police say pedestrian hit and killed by Baytown officer on SH-146.
A tragic incident occurred when a man was fatally struck by a Baytown Police officer's patrol car on State Highway 146 North early Sunday morning. The collision took place around 1:30 a.m. near Port Road. According to reports, the man was walking on the highway when the marked police vehicle hit him. Fortunately, the officer was unharmed. The Harris County District Attorney's Office and Harris County Precinct 8 officials conducted the investigation at the scene. The victim, identified only as a white man in his twenties, has not been named, and no other parties involved have been publicly identified.
