Police say boy injured in central Minnesota bike crash will be removed from life support.
A 12-year-old boy who was critically injured in a bicycle accident in central Minnesota is expected to be taken off life support on Wednesday, according to reports from the police department. The boy, named Raghav Shrestha, had the accident while riding down a hill in Northside Park. Sadly, he suffered a serious head injury leading to cardiac arrest. Despite efforts to save him, doctors determined he had no brain activity. Raghav's condition deteriorated, leaving the community stunned by the tragic turn of events. The young boy was described as cheerful and full of life, enjoying a typical day outside like any other 12-year-old. His friend immediately dialed 911 after the accident, while a passing CPR instructor tried to help him. Although he was resuscitated en route to the hospital, he was then airlifted to Hennepin Healthcare in critical condition. The police chief mentioned that Raghav aspired to become a police officer when he grew up, a dream that was symbolically acknowledged when he was sworn in as an honorary police officer by officials at his hospital bedside.
