Police report robbery suspect from NYC died in crash in New Hyde Park
A 15-year-old male suspect involved in a robbery in Queens tragically lost his life following a police pursuit that ended in a crash with an SUV in New Hyde Park, Long Island. The suspect, who was riding an e-bike, collided with a Lexus SUV at an intersection during the chase. The teenager sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV, identified as 28-year-old Ruyan Ali, tried to flee but was apprehended. The incident was captured in a video showing the damaged e-bike and SUV. Local residents mentioned that accidents are frequent at that particular intersection. Investigations by the NYPD and Nassau County Police are ongoing.
