Police report: 3-vehicle accident worsens congestion on Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh
Emergency crews are currently at the scene of a motor vehicle collision in north Raleigh. The Raleigh Police Department reported that multiple vehicles were involved in a crash at the intersection of Falls of Neuse Road and Durant Road early Saturday morning. Traffic was affected due to the congested lanes on Falls of Neuse Road, causing delays for commuters. Tow trucks and emergency responders were on-site aiding in clearing the area. This incident added to the existing challenges of navigating Falls of Neuse Road, especially with the lane-widening construction underway between I-540 and Durant Road. The City of Raleigh also announced a road closure on Sunday for repaving work. Falls of Neuse Road was reopened after the damaged vehicles were removed.
