Police probe triple fatal accident in Baltimore County

The Maryland State Police are currently examining a collision that resulted in the deaths of three individuals on Saturday night in Baltimore County. As stated in an update, a trooper stationed at the Golden Ring Barrack had pulled over a Jeep Wrangler on the inner loop of I-695 at Greenspring Avenue at around 11:00 p.m. During the traffic stop, the Jeep suddenly sped off. The trooper chose not to chase the vehicle, deactivated the emergency lights, and merged back into traffic. Shortly afterward, the trooper discovered the Jeep engulfed in flames in the grass near the ramp from I-695 to southbound I-83. Preliminary findings indicate that while attempting to exit onto the southbound I-83 ramp, the Jeep lost control, collided with an embankment and a tree, and caught fire. Emergency responders confirmed the deaths of the driver and two passengers at the scene, but their identities have not yet been disclosed. Various agencies such as the Office of State Fire Marshal, Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration, and Baltimore County Police Department aided the response efforts. The Maryland State Police CRASH Team is actively leading the investigation.
