Police probe fatal motorcycle accident in Denver area involving 82-year-old.
A tragic fatal motorcycle accident occurred in the Denver metro area on Thursday, resulting in the death of an 82-year-old woman. The accident took place on Interstate 76 as the woman was heading east and struck the center barrier, causing her to be ejected from the motorcycle. Despite receiving first aid from an off-duty Aurora police officer and being transported to the hospital for treatment, she passed away shortly after. Fortunately, the driver of the vehicle involved in the collision was unharmed. The Brighton Police Department's Traffic Safety Unit indicated that speed, alcohol, and drugs are not suspected to be contributing factors in the incident and urged anyone with information to contact their tip line at (303) 655-8740. The woman's identity is being withheld pending notification of her next of kin.
