Police probe fatal accident in Darke County
One person has lost their life following a tragic head-on collision between a semi-truck and a car on Monday morning. The county sheriff's office reported that deputies responded to the 1600 block of US-127 near Grubbs-Rex Road at 4:49 a.m. In the initial findings, it was determined that the crash took place when a northbound semi-tractor trailer collided with a southbound car that had veered across the center line just prior to impact. Despite efforts to save the driver of the car, they unfortunately did not survive. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
