Police probe deadly collision in Elk Grove
The Elk Grove Police Department is currently looking into a tragic car accident that occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning. The incident involved a single vehicle and took place on Eastbound Elk Grove Boulevard between Cresleigh Parkway and Backer Ranch Road. Sadly, the driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the responding officers. As authorities work to determine the root cause of the crash, that particular area has been closed off to traffic. An exact time for when the road will reopen has not been provided by the EGPD.
