Police officer from West Palm Beach injured in crash on Congress Ave.
A West Palm Beach Police officer was taken to the hospital following a car crash on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred when the officer, responding to an armed disturbance with lights and sirens, collided with a vehicle on Executive Center Drive while traveling northbound on Congress Avenue around 4:45 p.m. The crash resulted in the other driver hitting a pole and a parked vehicle on Congress Avenue. Fortunately, the driver of the other vehicle did not sustain any injuries. The officer was later transported to St. Mary's Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening, as confirmed by the West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD).
