Police looking for suspect in violent East Hollywood club crash injuring 36

Authorities have shared images of a man believed to be responsible for shooting a 29-year-old motorist who allegedly intentionally drove into a crowd outside a nightclub in East Hollywood, causing injuries to dozens of individuals. The incident occurred early Saturday morning in the 4600 block of Santa Monica Boulevard near a popular venue along North Vermont Avenue. Over 120 emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene and transported 36 injured individuals to hospitals. The injuries ranged from minor to severe fractures, with some victims trapped under the suspect’s vehicle. Seven of the injured were classified as being in critical condition. Following the incident, the driver, identified as Fernando Ramirez, was removed from his vehicle by onlookers and physically assaulted. Amid the altercation, an unknown male approached, shot Ramirez once in the lower back, and then fled. Ramirez was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries and later booked for assault-related charges. Investigation revealed that Ramirez, who had a history of criminal offenses, was involved in a prior incident that was determined to be a hate crime. Remember to contact LAPD Rampart Division Det.
