Police investigating fatal head-on collision in Upstate
Authorities in Union County are currently looking into a collision that resulted in the death of one person and injuries to another. The incident occurred late Tuesday night at the junction of Monarch Highway and Beltline Road, when a pickup truck collided with an SUV. The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene, while a passenger was taken to the hospital. The truck driver, who was the sole occupant, emerged from the accident unharmed. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed by the Union County Coroner's Office.
