Police investigate deadly accident on Jefferson Street.
The Albuquerque Police Department's fatal crash unit is currently investigating a deadly vehicle collision involving two vehicles. The incident occurred on the Southbound Pan American Freeway at Jefferson Street NE at about 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Both directions of the Pan American Freeway at Jefferson Street NE and the Jefferson Bridge in both eastbound and westbound directions are currently closed in response to the crash. Drivers are urged to steer clear of the entrances and exits to and from Interstate 40. It is important to note that the crash did not happen on the freeway itself.
