Police in Springfield investigating three-vehicle crash
The Ohio State Highway Patrol in Springfield is looking into a collision involving three vehicles that happened on Thursday, Oct. 16. The accident occurred around 4 a.m. on I-70 near milepost 44 in Mad River Township when a large tire and rim crossed the median and struck a car and a semi-truck. The car's driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital, while the semi-truck driver and passenger were unharmed. The vehicle that the tire and rim came from did not stop and remains unidentified. Those who saw the incident are encouraged to reach out to OSP.
