Police in Des Moines reveal identity of motorcyclist who died in accident
On Thursday, the Des Moines Police Department revealed the identity of the motorcyclist who tragically lost his life in a collision with a car on Wednesday. The incident occurred at the intersection of SW 9th Street and Luster Lane near the Blank Park Zoo. Matthew Rex Ringgenberg, a 40-year-old resident of Des Moines, was the motorcyclist involved in the crash. The car, occupied by three individuals, was driven by an adult female who sustained non-life-threatening injuries and remained hospitalized at the time of the report. The two passengers in the car were unharmed. The DMPD confirmed that an investigation is in progress and no further details have been provided. This marks the fifth traffic-related fatality in Des Moines this year.
