Police identify two individuals who died in multiple-vehicle collision in Prince George’s County.

Maryland State Police have identified the victims of a fatal multi-vehicle accident that occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Prince George's County. The individuals killed in the crash were Tara Gross, 50, from Camp Springs, and Dandra Byrd, 31, from Riverdale. The incident happened when their Mercedes-Benz E 300 was struck near the intersection of Route 202 and St. Joseph's Drive around 1 p.m. Gross was driving the vehicle with Byrd as her passenger. The crash involved a Honda Accord driven by Tierra Johnson, 28, from Upper Marlboro, which hit a curb divider, causing the vehicle to become airborne and initiating a chain-reaction crash involving seven vehicles. Five individuals were transported by ambulance to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center. Authorities have highlighted speed as a contributing factor in the accident, and pending the outcome of the investigation, charges may be filed.
