Police ID North Country woman who died after crash into UPS truck
Police have released the identity of the woman who died after crashing into a UPS delivery truck in Clinton County last week.The Clinton County Sheriff's Office said Nancy Guynup, 79, of Plattsburgh, was driving in Black Brook on Friday when her vehicle entered the intersection of Dry Bridge Road and Golf Course Road and crashed into a UPS delivery truck.Eyewitnesses told police that Guynup did not see the truck and crossed into its path. The UPS driver tried to avoid the collision but was unable to stop, police said.An autopsy determined that Guynup died of blunt force trauma.No charges are being filed against the UPS driver, police said.
