Police collide with suspect's vehicle on crowded Fresno street
Two individuals, one of whom was a parolee at large, were apprehended in Fresno after law enforcement intentionally collided with the car they were in to bring it to a halt. The incident occurred on Wednesday when police recognized a vehicle matching one sought in a shooting probe. The pursuit of the vehicle came to a head at Bullard Avenue and Blackstone Avenue, where police executed a PIT maneuver to stop the car as it was about to collide with other vehicles. A 36-year-old female driver was arrested, while the parolee passenger attempted to flee but was later detained. Minor injuries prompted the hospitalization of a person from one of the unrelated vehicles involved in the maneuver and a passenger in the suspect's vehicle. The Fresno Police Department did not disclose specifics regarding the shooting investigation related to the wanted suspect.
