Police chase ends in crash, leading to arrest of 4 robbery suspects
Four individuals suspected of committing a robbery in Fremont were apprehended after a police pursuit concluded in a collision in San Leandro. The incident took place on Friday at around 12:30 p.m., when a person was robbed outside a bank on Mission Boulevard in Fremont. Following the victim's description of the suspects, law enforcement officers were able to locate their vehicle using automatic license plate readers. The suspects led police on a chase on Interstate 880, which ultimately ended in San Leandro. Upon stopping the car, the four suspects attempted to flee but were promptly apprehended. Authorities discovered items belonging to the victim in the vehicle. Further investigation revealed that the suspects were also tied to a similar robbery in a neighboring city earlier that same day. The suspect vehicle was involved in multiple collisions during the pursuit, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. The identities of the suspects have not yet been released by the police.
