Police believe medical emergency led to fatal Haverhill crash.
A tragic incident occurred in Haverhill on Tuesday evening, resulting in the passing of a 76-year-old man named Daniel Kirkwood. According to authorities, the crash took place on Dartmouth College Highway around 7 p.m. Officials suspect that Kirkwood experienced a medical emergency causing his vehicle to veer off the road and into an embankment. Emergency crews acted swiftly to extract him from the overturned vehicle, but unfortunately, Kirkwood was pronounced deceased on-site. Speeding and the presence of snow on the roads are also being considered as potential contributing factors in the accident. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
