
Police arrest suspect in fatal Mission Hills hit-and-run crash; vehicle still not found
(FOX 5/KUSI) — San Diego police announced Thursday morning the arrest of a person in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Mission Hills in early March. Police said that on the morning of April 17, William Christian was arrested near Pringle Street and San Diego Avenue and taken to the county jail on a charge of felony hit and run. •Video above: This FOX 5/KUSI video provides driving safety tips According to police, Christian was identified by traffic police investigators as the driver of a white Dodge Challenger that reportedly struck and killed a 69-year-old man walking along Hancock Street, near Estudillo Street, in the early morning of March 6. The man who was walking was taken to a hospital but later died from his injuries. In Thursday's news release, police said that the vehicle, a 2017 Challenger with plate number CA-7WWM511, has not been located.
