
Police arrest suspect after stolen car crash, search in Lancaster County
A man is accused of stealing a car and crashing it before running away and prompting a search by multiple police departments in Lancaster County.Miguel Dejesus-Gomez, 27, was located and taken into custody on Wednesday.Police said he stole a Mercedes-Benz from the Manheim Auto Auction in Penn Township around 3:10 p.m. and almost hit three security guards on the way out.An officer later spotted the vehicle on Route 30, and Dejesus-Gomez crashed when he exited at Walnut Street.Police said he then ran off.Officers from East Lampeter Township, Manheim Township, Pennsylvania State Police and Lancaster set up a perimeter. A drone team and K9 also assisted in the search.Dejesus-Gomez was arrested just after 5 p.m.He is charged with robbery, criminal trespass, flight to avoid apprehension, recklessly endangering another person and theft of a motor vehicle.
