Plainfield driver, 3 passengers injured in East Main Street crash Tuesday, police say
PLAINFIELD — Four people were taken to the hospital with injuries after a two-car crash on East Main Street in Plainfield Tuesday, police said. A 34-year-old local man driving a Ford Fusion rear-ended a motorist from Rhode Island driving a Chevrolet Trax, Plainfield police said. The local man and his three passengers were injured, police said, but the severity of the injuries were unclear. Police said officers responded to the crash in the 50 block of East Main Street around 3:51 p.m. The man driving the Ford was cited for following too closely, according to police. There was no further information on the crash as of Wednesday morning.
