Pickup hits utility pole in Fort Wayne, driver killed
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A man is dead following a crash early Sunday morning. It happened in the 5200 block of St. Joe Road just before 2 a.m. According to a press release from the Fort Wayne Police Department, officers responded to the area on reports of a crashed vehicle. When officers arrived, they found that a pickup truck had left the road and crashed into a utility pole. The truck was driven by an adult male who was the only occupant. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene. It's unclear at this time what led to the crash and if speed and alcohol are factors. This crash remains under investigation
