Person killed after sedan versus semi-truck crash in Monterey County identified
The California Highway Patrol has reported that at least one person is dead following a crash between Salinas and Castroville.Highway 183 at McFadden Road is currently closed as officers investigate the cause of a collision involving a sedan and a semitruck. The crash was reported at approximately 12:27 p.m. on Monday.The person in the sedan was the one killed. They were identified by the Monterey County Sheriff's Office as Olga Melnikova, 39, of Pacific Grove. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
