Person dies after crash on Spur 601 in El Paso
UPDATE: Spur 601 has reopened in both directions after a fatal overnight crash kept the road closed for hours, the Texas Department of Transportation said. EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A person has died after a crash on Spur 601 early Monday morning, May 19, El Paso Police said. Police say the call came in at around 1:30 a.m. Monday at Spur 601. All eastbound lanes at Airport Road and westbound lanes at Global Reach Drive have been closed all morning. Police say its Special Traffic Investigations unit responded to the crash. No further information has been released.
