Person dead after they were hit by a car in overnight Fresno collision
FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle early Thursday morning in Fresno, according to the Fresno Police Department. Police say officers responded around 12:20 a.m. to Blackstone and Olive avenues after a report that a vehicle hit someone. When officers arrived, they found the pedestrian in the middle of the roadway. The person was taken to a local hospital, where they died. Investigators say the driver was traveling south on Blackstone Avenue toward Olive Avenue when the pedestrian, who was crossing outside a crosswalk, was struck.
